Jordan Oaks resident and his bride celebrate nuptials at community
On the afternoon of July 12, 2014, wedding bells were ringing throughout Jordan Oaks in Cary, North Carolina. Jim Taylor, a now former Jordan Oaks resident, married Barbara Blalock, a home aide for numerous residents in the community, at a ceremony held where the two first met: Jordan Oaks. After a three-month courtship, the two knew they had found love again in their golden years and decided to make it official. Although neither one was necessarily looking for romance, Barbara insists it is just as special the second time around.
“Barbara was a bridal beauty as she gracefully swayed down our staircase on her wedding day,“ said Lin Robinson, a community manager at Jordan Oaks. “The couple tied the knot in front of our fireplace surrounded by about 30 of their friends and family in addition to the residents and staff here at the Jordan Oaks community.”
The newlyweds will reside at Barbara’s home and begin their new life together. However, Jim will be a frequent Jordan Oaks visitor and will not miss his beloved poker games with “the guys.” On behalf of everyone here at Holiday Retirement, we wish the happy couple a lifetime of happiness!
